The trophies were then handed out to the winners of our now gender neutral trials. There are now only two trophies per event, one for Long Wheel Base (LWB) and one for Short Wheel Base (SWB). The old but historic trophies will soon be handed over to Jaguar Land Rover SA for safe keeping.
We are in the process of changing all the trial trophies and are going for a new modern look instead of the old-fashioned "cup". Lizette has been hard at work and has come up with some great ideas. Each set of trial trophies will now have a theme. "Series", "Defender", "Discovery", "Range Rover/Freelander", etc. But this all comes at a cost.
Consequently, LROC is looking for sponsors for the new trophies and we ask anyone who may be interested please to contact Lizette on 084 500 8984 or trophy@lroc.org.za. The trophies can be sponsored individually or as a set, per trial, at ± R600 each.
We wish to thank Bernard Cohen who donated not only 4 tyres, but also the rims. This weekend the trailer could be used again.
