Drive and Lunch to Chaf Pozi Soweto

11 September 2022 - Michael Gundelfinger
Braai without the clean-up

A braai without the clean-up was the plan for the day.

With the traditional meeting at the car park opposite Woolworths Parkwood. With easy access to the highway and Starbucks coffee.

After everyone had arrived, we had a good mix of old and new faces for our convoy drive to lunch. Off we went on the M1, heading straight into Soweto, passing Africa's largest and the world's third largest hospital, The Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. We arrived the Orland towers,  former power station cooling towers which certainly look larger up close.

The club made it presents felt filling up a large part of the car park.

With the temptation of bungee jumping or ride up to the viewing deck to much for some we sat down for lunch - after the customary restaurant rearrangement to accommodate the club.

There was a full counter of meat for the buy braai there was everything form chuck to wors and wings. As well the popular Soweto gold beer, a Soweto gold in Soweto who could say no.

It was a great day out thank you to the all who attended hope to see you at many more events.
